About the
​FCEDA Board

The FCEDA board today consists of seven members, coming from a variety of fields and backgrounds to ensure a well-rounded and thoroughly knowledgeable economic development team. Board members bring expertise in real estate, financial services, nonprofits, insurance, civil engineering and transportation. Moreover, they are all active members of their communities, serving on numerous boards and supporting an array of civic causes.

​Turner Askew

Turner Askew has been a FCEDA board member since its inception and a resident of the Flathead Valley since 2004. Over the span of his sixty-year career in real estate, Turner has served on a multitude of boards with organizations such as North Valley Hospital and Whitefish City Council. He is also a Montana Ambassador and in 2003, the governor named him Ambassador of the Year for the State of Montana. Turner has a passion for Montana residents because of their strong work ethic and lack of pretense.  He is dedicated to ensuring that the privileges Montanans enjoy, remain privileges in the midst of economic growth.  He serves as past chairman of the board.

​Toby Liechti

Toby Liechti grew up in Lakeside and graduated from Flathead High School in 2008. He then went on to graduate from MSU-Bozeman with a degree in Civil Engineering and is now a licensed professional engineer in the state of Montana. Toby has been involved in numerous commercial and residential development projects all across the valley and is heavily involved with several community organizations. He currently serves as the president of the Kalispell Legion Baseball Association, is a board member on the Flathead County Board of Adjustment, and is a former board member of the Flathead Area Young Professionals. He is looking forward to seeing FCEDA wrap up its current projects and is excited to see what’s next for FCEDA and Flathead County.

​Lyle Mitchell

Lyle Mitchell is a longtime resident of Montana and a third-term member of the FCEDA board.  Years of experience with small business ownership and insurance have instilled in Lyle a strong understanding of risk-management and economic impact.  A servant of the community, Lyle has held roles in organizations such as the Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce, the Columbia Falls school board, FVCC, and Kiwanis.  He is a proud member of the FCEDA board, which he believes is leading initiatives important to the economic vitality of the entire Flathead County.  As a grandparent with family in the area, Lyle has a vested interest in solving local issues and developing the area’s potential.

Tony Brockman

Tony Brockman is Vault Media's Content Manager, a Kalispell-based digital marketing agency. Tony works with small businesses, corporations, and nonprofits to expand their reach and customer base through tailormade videos and marketing pieces.

​Beyond Vault Media, Tony spent over a decade working in local and state governments and public benefit corporations. Having served on public and nonprofit boards at local, state, and national levels, he has considerable board experience. Tony has served on the Flathead County Economic Development Authority, Flathead County's economic development arm since 2014.

Born and raised in the Flathead, Tony is a graduate of The University of Montana. Tony currently serves as a Trustee for Evergreen's Rural Fire District, a board member for the Flathead Food Bank, Gateway Community Center, and the Flathead County Sheriff's Citizens' Advisory Board. A graduate of the Flagship and Masters Class Programs of Leadership Montana, Tony serves on the organization's Alumni Committee. Tony is a member of Kalispell's Daybreak Rotary Club. In August 2021, the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce and Daily Interlake newspaper recognized Tony as one of the Flathead Valley's 40 Under 40 young professionals.

​Jeannie Luckey

Jeannie Luckey is a long-time resident of Flathead County, an original founding member of Montana West Economic Development and the Flathead County Economic Development Authority.  Jeannie is currently serving as chair of the FCEDA board. This longevity combined with her expertise in business and owing a wealth management firm have equipped Jeannie to approach economic and community development in the Flathead Valley with expertise and confidence.  Jeannie has served Flathead County in numerous leadership roles including President of the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, past chair of the Kalispell Regional Medical Center Board (now Logan Health), president of the Kalispell chapter of the Montana Ambassadors, and Past International President of Pilot International, a national philanthropic organization.   Highly respected in the community, Jeannie has also received numerous honors including the Kalispell Chamber’s Business Woman of the Year and the Great Chief Award, now the Community Legacy Award.    Jeannie is an owner and manager of Snow Peak Wealth Advisors/Raymond James.

​Rob Ratkowski

Rob Ratkowski is the Airport Director for Glacier Park International Airport. With 20 years of experience in the airport management industry and a lifetime in aviation, Rob has the background to make a complex organization like GPIA tick. Rob is a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives and the past president of the Montana Airport Management Association. Outside of work, Rob serves as a board member for the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, volunteers with his church, and flies recreationally as a pilot. He and his family spend their free time enjoying many of the outdoor activities that Montana and the Flathead Valley have to offer.

Jason Spring

Jason joined Vizient last year as vice president, network connections where he serves as the executive officer for Vizient Mid-America and Arkansas/Oklahoma networks. He is responsible for the engagement of member hospital and health system senior executives in Vizient’s networking and collaboration offering and ensuring that members maximize opportunities to learn, improve and build together in order to address their most pressing clinical, quality and operational challenges.

Jason has over 30 years in the healthcare industry serving in various leadership roles including 17 years as a hospital CEO and 5 years as Chief Strategy Officer of a regional healthcare system.

Jason has been engaged in a number of charitable and community organizations throughout his career. He is currently active in community organizations with a focus on economic development in Northwest Montana.

He received a B.S. in Business and Economics at Centenary College of Louisiana and Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
